Megan Cassella is a CNBC correspondent at the network’s Washington, D.C. bureau, covering the intersection of business and Washington, regulatory issues and policies as well as market and economic implications of the Biden administration’s industrial policy push.

Most recently, Cassella served as Barron’s senior economics and policy reporter where she covered the Federal Reserve and the U.S. economy, with a focus on inflation and the labor market. Prior to Barron’s, she was a reporter for Politico covering trade, the renegotiation of NAFTA and the Biden administration’s economic policy transition.

Cassella received her B.A. in journalism and international politics at the University of North Carolina.
