Chintan Desai

Chintan is the Chief Executive Officer of GE Healthcare ASEAN. He is responsible for leading all commercial and business activities in ASEAN which countries include Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Lao and Brunei.

Chintan has been an integral part of the ASEAN leadership team since 2011 in his capacity as Chief Operating Officer and ANZ & ASEAN Services General Manager. As Chief Operating Officer for ASEAN between 2019 and 2020 , he led the commercial team to deliver consistent double digit growth, and established a strong country and modality leadership structure to enable sustainable and reliable operations. As ANZ & ASEAN Services General Manager between 2011 and 2016, he helped to drive growth, operations efficiency and overall profitability of the Services business in both regions.

Chintan joined GE in 1999 in the United States as a part of the Financial Management Program and then took on progressive roles in Finance, Operations and Supply Chain, all within GE Healthcare at Milwaukee. In 2007, Chintan moved to Singapore as the Finance Manager for Asia, GE Healthcare, and stayed on in the expanded role of CFO for Healthcare Services for Asia-Pacific until 2011.

Prior to joining GE, Chintan was with PriceWaterhouse Coopers for 3 years. He is a Chartered Accountant and completed the Executive Development Program from Northwestern University, Evanston in 2007.

Lim Wai Mun

Waimun is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Doctor Anywhere, with more than 10 years of experience in the investments and start-up space.

Doctor Anywhere is a tech-led healthcare company that focuses on improving healthcare delivery and providing convenient access to health and wellness solutions.

With this company, Waimun seeks to strengthen the current health and wellness ecosystem by covering efficiency gaps and bringing healthcare products and services closer to Singaporeans.

Before he founded Doctor Anywhere, Waimun worked at Singapore-based investment company, Temasek Holdings. During his 8-year tenure with Temasek, he helped to conceptualise and establish Pavilion Energy, a Singapore-based Liquefied Natural Gas company. The experience at Pavilion Energy helped him to understand the challenges of starting and building a company.

Before Temasek, Waimun spent three years of his career in Private Equity at Standard Chartered Bank.

Born and raised in Singapore, Waimun graduated with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering at National University of Singapore.

Roberta Sarno

Roberta joined APACMed in December 2019 to lead the new Digital Health Committee. She supports the association’s members to establish a digital health ecosystem, build knowledge and advocate for optimal policies that help digital health innovation in APAC.

Prior to joining APACMed, Roberta worked as senior consultant and business development manager at Alcimed in Paris and Marseille, France, where she supported clients in the healthcare sector on innovation and strategy projects. Before that, she worked as genetic engineering researcher at Curie Institute, in collaboration with the French startup Meiogenix.

She holds a PhD in genetics (Curie Institute, Paris), a master of business foundations (INSEAD) and lives in Singapore.

Seemant Jauhari

Seemant brings 19 years of experience in healthcare innovation, business consulting, & strategy.

Prior to HealthXCapital, he was the CEO - Innovations & Research at Apollo Hospitals. He spearheaded Apollo’s initiatives to scout, evaluate, invest and commercialize innovations. Seemant also served as a Director on the board of multiple Apollo Hospitals joint venture entities focused on bio-banking, cord blood banking and clinical trials.

In his previous assignments, Seemant has had diverse experience across business consulting at Ernst & Young, Strategy and transformation at Nokia Solutions Networks and IT consulting at Tata Consultancy Services.

Seemant is a graduate of Business Indian School of Business (ISB) with executive education from Berkeley-Haas and Recanti Business School, Tel Aviv. He has a Bachelors in Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology.

Frank Nydam

Frank Nydam is the Vice President of Healthcare for VMware’s Global Industries Group where he is responsible for VMware’s worldwide healthcare solutions, business strategy and strategic alliances. Over the past 18 years, Frank has worked in collaboration with business leaders, partners and product teams across VMware to help healthcare customers realize their vision of connected care. He founded VMware’s Healthcare program in 2007, and has served as VMware’s Healthcare CTO, Global Vertical Marketing, Solutions/Innovation and Strategic Alliances for Healthcare. Frank also served as a Board member of CHIME (College of Healthcare Information Management Executives) from 2015 – 2018.

Frank holds a B.S. in Aerospace Mgt. from Kent State University, executive certificate(s) from Stanford University Graduate School for Design Thinking and Customer Focused Innovation as well as executive MBA’s in Finance from Rutgers.
