CNBC Connect: ASEAN and Beyond 2023 Event Terms and Conditions

Dear Sir/Madam

Business News (Asia) LLP, doing business as NBCU Catalyst (“NBCU”), is organising “CNBC Connect: ASEAN and Beyond”, an invite-only event that is tentatively scheduled to take place on 19 September 2023 or any other such time period as determined and advised by NBCU (such event hereinafter referred to as the “Event”) at TRUE ICON Hall 1, Bangkok, Thailand, or any other such venue as determined and advised by NBCU (such venue hereinafter referred to as the “Event Venue”).  In consideration of NBCU permitting you to attend the Event, you accept and agree to comply with the following terms and conditions:

  1. You acknowledge and agree that NBCU, its affiliates, agents, contractors and/or representatives may film or photograph your attendance at the Event (the “Marketing Content”). You hereby grant to NBCU and its affiliates, agents, contractors and representatives a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, modify, transmit, broadcast, display, publish, communicate, exploit and issue publicity regarding the Marketing Content in any and all media (on both NBCU platforms and third-party platforms, and for both editorial and commercial purposes) without liability or acknowledgement to you.
  1. You shall be solely liable for and assume all risk of: (i) loss of or damage to any property owned by you or otherwise in your possession or control during the Event; and (ii) death or personal injury that you may suffer during the Event, which is not caused by our negligence.
  1. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NBCU expressly excludes all representations, warranties and obligations arising out of or in connection with the Event. Under no circumstances whatsoever shall NBCU be liable to you, whether in contract, tort, breach of statutory duty or otherwise, for any direct, indirect, consequential, special, incidental or punitive loss or damage arising from or in connection with the Event.  You hereby irrevocably, fully and unconditionally release NBCU, its employees, officers, affiliates, contractors, suppliers, customers, sponsors and licensees from and against any liability whatsoever (whether direct or indirect and whether arising in contract, tort, breach of statutory duty or any otherwise) arising from or in connection with the Event.
  1. You shall comply with all applicable laws, health and safety codes, and directions of NBCU during the Event. This includes but is not limited to all applicable privacy laws, anti-corruption laws, health and safety laws.  You also confirm that your attendance at the Event complies with your organisation’s internal policies and guidelines.
  1. NBCU may terminate the Event or your participation at the Event by giving notice to you and without incurring any liability to you if: (i) NBCU has reason to believe that you may violate and/or may have violated these terms or any applicable laws or regulations, including the anti-corruption, anti-bribery, privacy and/or competition laws of any applicable jurisdiction; or (ii) NBCU so determines in its sole discretion for any other reasons.

By signing up for the Event, you consent to NBCU handling your data in accordance with the privacy policy at nbcuniversal.com/privacy.  If you have any questions about the way NBCU handles your data, or if you would like NBCU to remove you from its marketing list, please contact adsaleslegal@nbcuni.com.
  1. You acknowledge and agree that these terms shall be governed by, and be construed in accordance with, the law of Singapore. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore in relation to any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms.
